We are proud to announce our 2022 SparkYouth Scholars!

This year, SparkYouth’s Scholarship Awardees include 43 college-bound NYC students from our grantee programs who were each selected to receive a $1500 education supply scholarship. These students are headed to a variety of colleges including NYU, Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Swarthmore, Howard, Georgetown, and John Jay College.

The SparkYouth Scholarship is designed to help first-year students finance educational supplies such as computers and books which are not typically covered by financial aid packages. The SparkYouth Scholars were selected based on applications detailing their accomplishments, financial need, and reflections on how their participation in the program set them up for future success.

SparkYouth NYC’s Board of Directors created the scholarship program to deepen our commitment to creating boundless futures for NYC youth. We are so proud of our SparkYouth Scholars, and we are honored to assist their college pursuits, especially as they continue navigating the lingering impact of the pandemic which has been financially devastating for many NYC families.
